weird.. I was just looking into hiking trips this past weekend. I went to the mountains (NC) with the 7th grade last week. During free time, I went for a short run on the trail, and was REALLY missing my backpacking trip over the summer.

Here's a novel idea: why not post some links that actually work? Damn. Utah doesn't work, Hawaii redirects you and then doesn't work, Sweden is in some indecipherable foreign language. I don't even have the patience or faith in you to keep going past #7.

Anyway, from what I saw (and did some day treks and kayaking in the area) the Routeburn Track would be incredible. It goes from probably the best national park in NZ (an area of insane natural beauty) to probably the second best. I think I may have to go back and do it some time. Also, the Milford Track right there is said to be great as well, though it fills up more quickly.
